About this treatment
Treatment tailored to the tooth
When a tooth has decay or a small fracture, a filling can restore its shape and function. We remove only what is necessary and select the material according to load and appearance.
- For decay, wear or smaller tooth fractures.
- When an old filling leaks, becomes loose or feels uncomfortable.
- Following an examination showing the tooth can be preserved with a filling.
How the appointment works
Anaesthesia when needed
We make sure the area is comfortable before starting and agree on a signal for breaks.
Cleaning and rebuilding
Damaged tissue is removed and the tooth is rebuilt in layers with tooth-coloured composite.
Fine adjustment
We check your bite and contact points, then polish the filling until it feels natural.
After your treatment
If you were anaesthetised, avoid hot food and drinks until sensation returns. Mild tenderness for a few days is common. Contact us if your bite feels uneven.
Common questions
How long does a filling last?
Longevity depends on size, load, hygiene and material. We monitor it at check-ups and explain if intervention is needed.
Will a tooth-coloured filling be visible?
The material is matched to the tooth's colour and shape. On high-load surfaces, function and durability guide the choice.
